Heather Brereton

Heather Brereton is a judge of the Third Judicial District in Utah. She was appointed by Governor Gary Herbert (R) on August 9, 2015.[1] She was unanimously confirmed by the Senate Judicial Confirmation Committee on September 9 and confirmed by the Utah State Senate on September 16. Brereton replaced Deno Himonas, who was appointed to the Utah Supreme Court.[2][3]
Career
At the time of her judicial appointment, Brereton was a trial attorney and chief of the misdemeanor division at the Salt Lake Legal Defender Association. She was a law clerk at the Utah Court of Appeals in 1999 and 2000.[1]
