Heather Hudson is a native Houstonian with 14 years of experience as a prosecutor. After graduating from Texas A&M University, she obtained her Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law. Heather then spent several years working as a prosecutor in the Rio Grande Valley before returning to Houston, where she has spent the past decade as an appellate prosecutor with the Harris County District Attorney's Office. During that time, Heather has reviewed the legality of trial court rulings in hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases and acquired extensive knowledge of criminal law.
  • Crime in Houston has skyrocketed, and will continue to rise as long as repeat, violent criminal offenders are released on low bail. Heather Hudson will take into consideration the safety of victims and the community in making all bail determinations.
  • Hudson will work diligently to reduce the staggering backlog of criminal cases in Harris County by holding trial and giving victims and defendants their day in court.
  • Hudson will follow the rule of law and will treat all litigants, jurors, witnesses, and lawyers with dignity and respect.
