Candidate's Facebook page

Renno's campaign Facebook page listed the following campaign themes for 2018:

Continuing to improve technology

KM is a leader in technology within WI school districts. I would like to see KM continue to excel and find new technology that our students can use that will keep them up to date.[3]
—Heather Renno's campaign Facebook page (2018)[4]

Individualized learning at all levels

I strongly believe that learning should be individualized for each student as much as possible. Every student learns at a different pace, and our teachers and schools need to be able to appropriately assess and adapt to children’s needs.[3]
—Heather Renno's campaign Facebook page (2018)[5]

Integrating STEAM at all levels

KM is doing wonderful things in the way of integrating STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) into all schools within the district. I would like to see this continue as these fields are where the majority of careers will be focused once our children graduate and enter the workforce.[3]
—Heather Renno's campaign Facebook page (2018)[6]

Increasing college and career preparatory opportunities

I believe that there is a skills gap widening between what students are being taught and what professions require. We need to be able to offer the latest in technology and training to ensure our students are graduating and transitioning into continuing education and careers successfully. This includes gearing programs towards both traditional college and technical schooling, setting our children up for success regardless of their career path.

We’re fortunate to be a part of an already exceptional school district. My goal, if elected, will be to continue our tradition of excellence, build upon the four pillars outlined above, and to help ensure the students of KM are best prepared to take on tomorrow.[3]
