She is serving her 5th term and currently serves on: State Affairs Committee, Environment Energy and Technology Committee, and is Vice Chairman of Judiciary and Rules Committee. Heather is the co-chair of the Idaho Freedom Caucus. She is a strong advocate for educating and empowering citizens to be more involved in local and state government. • I believe we need to strengthen our state sovereignty. Standing as a sovereign state we can say no to federal overreach and mandates by reducing and eliminating dependency on federal funds. Idaho needs to manage our own lands.
  • Promoting privacy and protection is critical. We need to maintain and defend our clearly worded second amendment and protect Idahoans' privacy. State and federal agencies need to be restricted from collecting your digital data without consent.
  • Taxes are out of control and the best way to reduce taxes is to reduce spending.
To make and repeal laws for citizens of the state of Idaho.
The governor should be enforcing the law made by the legislature, not attempting to dictate or control policy or legislators.
I believe growth and illegal immigration are two of our greatest challenges.
Yes, it is beneficial to understand the structure and processes in government, but not mandatory.
State Affairs, Technology and Judiciary.
Financial transparency and government accountability are critical in government. Every tax dollar spent needs to be accounted for. Contracts and agreements between bureaucrats and non government parties need oversight.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Idaho

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.

Click here for an overview of legislative scorecards in all 50 states.  To contribute to the list of Idaho scorecards, email suggestions to editor@ballotpedia.org.
