What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
My top three priorities if elected are direct representation, which means I represent the people who elect me not special interests; passing legislation to require state government to become more transparent than it's ever been, which will allow voters to make informed choices on bills and voting for politicians in the future; and reforming healthcare to create a patient-centered healthcare system.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I'm passionate about people and all public policy affects people. I'm passionate about Constitutional Rights, and I'm passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
The characteristics or principles that I think are most important for an elected official are honesty, transparency, ethical behavior, perseverance, leadership, a thorough understanding of the U.S. Constitution as well as the state constitution, and amazing communication and negotiation skills.
What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?
The qualities I possess that I believe will make me a successful officeholder is all the skills I've obtained by lobbying to successfully pass legislation in multiple states. I'm a born leader who takes charge under stress, and I'm an amazing communicator and negotiator both with elected officials and the public. I've had experience in bill drafting, researching issues and laws, lobbying, and getting the public involved in the issues that matter most to them.
What legacy would you like to leave?
What legacy would I like to leave? Success, but most of all, inspiration. I hope I inspire people who have experienced the things I have in my life; juvenile trafficking and homelessness, child abuse, domestic violence, illness, injustice, and poverty, and they are inspired to reach really high for their goals and never let their past stop them. Instead, turn your pain into power and help others. I believe that's what we are here to do.
