Hector Melgar was a candidate for Seat 3 representative on the Brentwood Union Board of Education in New York. He was defeated in the general election that was held on May 17, 2016.[1]

Biography
Melgar is the president of Tri Motion Physical Therapy. He obtained an associate degree from Suffolk County Community College. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from Hunter College.[2]

Two of the seven seats on the Brentwood Union Free School District school board were up for general election on May 17, 2016. Seat 3 incumbent Robert Feliciano defeated Hector Melgar. Incumbent Paula Moore also defeated challenger Camille Serrano for Seat 4.[1]
