Heidi Whilden is a judge of the Superior Court of Monterey County in California. She was elected in the primary on June 3, 2014, and was set to take office on January 5, 2015. Governor Jerry Brown appointed her to the court in September 2014 so that she could take office right away. Her term expires on January 4, 2021.[1][2]

Whilden ran for election to the Superior Court of Monterey County.
Primary: She was elected in the primary on June 3, 2014, receiving 66.61 percent of the vote. She competed against Luma Serrano Williams.

Education

Whilden received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara and J.D. from Santa Barbara College of Law.[1]

Career

Prior to joining the court, Whilden was the court commissioner for the Superior Court of Monterey County. She was appointed to that position in February 2011.[4] Prior to that she was a temporary judge in the same court over the family law and Department of Child Support Services calendars. Whilden has also practiced law and clerked for a federal judge.[1]
