Helen Riehle
Helen Riehle is a former Republican member of the Vermont State Senate, representing the Chittenden District from 2016 to 2017. She was appointed to the chamber on March 29, 2016, to replace Diane Snelling (R), who resigned to become the Chair of the Natural Resources Board (NRB).[1]
Riehle previously served in the Vermont State Senate from 1993 to 2000. She also served in the Vermont House of Representatives from 1983 to 1992.[2]
Biography
Riehle earned her B.S. from the University of Vermont in 1972. Her professional experience includes working as a middle school teacher from 1975 to 1985.[2]
Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
