A child of Eastern European immigrants, I constantly dream and have committed my life to work desperately toward the day that democratic rule of law covers every inch of our globe. Maintaining and growing rule of law in Wisconsin, (our beautiful corner of the world,) is my specific campaign goal. Rule of law only works when it is part of a dependably just legal system, economic opportunities for all, social equality, limited governmental power, and unassailable freedoms for all including the points of view that I disagree with. All of my tasks as 19th district state assemblyperson will be in accomplishment and maintenance of the above.
  • Democracy starts here. No one should expect to run for an office unopposed as my opposition has. It keeps us close to our voters.
  • Democracy gets the impossible done because when democracy is done correctly, everyone jumps on board.
  • Much experience including as a series 7, 63 & 65 financial advisor, in the electronic manufacturing industry, government, the media and leadership experience in religious, educational, charitable, political and ethnic, non-profit organizations.
My priorities during my upcoming tenure in the Wisconsin assembly include establishing easily accessible governmental financial reporting according to generally accepted accounting principles and statewide term limits on all elected positions. Lake Michigan and water issues in general, the Milwaukee area transportation situation and jobs, jobs, jobs are my other priorities.
My late father is my hero. The man was very imperfect with many struggles and flaws but yet extremely brave, facing extreme challenges at times but still holding to his ideals. Still learning even though he died a month before his 100th birthday, still young even when the world around insisted that his life was over, this is my goal. I wish to always be learning, always willing to change, always striving with new challenges, yet always dependable and with high standards, always full of faith and promise and giving everyone a second chance.
Ayn Rand: "The Anti-industrial Revolution." but it must be mixed with the movie "October Sky" about a bunch of coal town boys that wanted to make their lives count.
The Friends of Fritz executive committee specifically has the permission to look me in the eyes and say "No" even if I really want whatever that I am arguing for in the current campaign for the 19th district of the Wisconsin Assembly. If they agree on the "No" then there is nothing that I can do but comply. This is a basic of governance.

The American constitutional terms on this topic are "limited power" and also "separation of powers." It basically means that every power center in government should have places where someone can say "No" or "Yes" and that is final. Without such safety stops, we the people will be in trouble. A dictator wanna-be always makes endless promises in exchange for unaccountable and therefore unlimited power.

An American legislator of any office first must stay within their own limits no matter how heady the cause that they are advocating for and must also help constrain any other official attempting to overstep their limits.
A successful father, brother and family leader. I have served for many years in the leadership of religious, charitable, educational and political organizations. " From years back as a founding board member of Iglesia de la Cosecha, a religious and charitable outreach to young, twenty-something, meatpacking workers, thousands of miles from home in tiny town, Norwalk, WI, to currently an active volunteer in the MLK Drive, office of the African American Council with my friend, Khenzer Senat, Outreach Director, reaching Milwaukee with a desperately needed reality. However, my treasures in life are three daughters, a granddaughter, and a daughter in law, a son, a grandson, and a son in law. I also have nine siblings, sister and brother in laws, nieces and nephews. There is nothing remotely more important to me than these treasures and I do everything that I can in life to maintain these relationships. Family times together mean everything to me. These precious gifts are the only part of this world that I will take with me to heaven eventually.
When I leave here I hope that I had helped in some way, that every square meter of the Earth is ruled by a rule of law based democracy.
My oldest brother was drafted into the US Army during the Vietnam War. I remember how my mother stayed brave but cried as he waved goodbye, boarding a plane at Milwaukee's Billy Mitchell Field. I was about ten years old at the time.
Though born and raised in Milwaukee, my first "official" job was for the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in Lake Delton, WI. The town is part of the Wisconsin Dells area. The restaurant still exists today.
"The Hobbit" and also "The Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R. Tolkien. The fight of good against evil, a discussion in a simplified way of the ways of the peoples of the Erth as told by an expert author who also was an expert on ancient English languages and the myths and beliefs of those peoples. The romance, the landscape, the wind in your face have mande me take the vooks down from my shelf and read them again over the years.
Per the answers above, when I grow up, I want to be a Hobbit. There are a few places on Earth that I occasionally am able to return to, where I think that I might be able to achieve my goal. The green, the running water, the mountains, some day I might just stay there.
A portion of Ein Deutsches Requiem by Brahms.
To understand romantic love and also, to find a good water melon.
In theory, the state assembly with a two year term, is more reactive to the will of the constituents while the state senate with a four year term is more reflecting and centered upon the long term concerning a bill before it, again in theory.
Previous political experience is beneficial but not essential. I prefer that the various legislatures are run by Rabbis and Roofers, Professors and Hairdressers, nonprofessionals who come and legislate for a while and then return back to the world that they legislated.
The greatest challenges are 1) to grow fiscal wisdom, 2) the need to maintain rule of law and decrease rule of he mob, 3) legislative growth for economic security and true social reform.
As is the case in all democracy, 1) mutual respect and above all, keep your promises at least in principle, 2) where there is disagreement, agree to disagree and fight with honor by only the ideas fighting, not personal attacks, 3) find areas of agreeent so stuff can get done, 4) have an occasional morning coffee together in order to stay human,
Personal relationships with other legislators, including those in other parties is not only beneficial, but essential. I am not coming to the assembly to publicize my opinions. I am coming to the assembly to enact lasting, positive, reforms. The only way that reform is accomplished is with a team. The only way that a team is built is with mutual trust.
I want redistricting to be as close to the people as possible. The current system, with many gerrymandered districts clearly intended for preset outcomes, must not prevail. However, removing this process even further from the people by giving it to a bureacracy has landmines as well. I am thinking on this one and do not have an answer yet.
I hope to participate with any committee that deals with Lake Michigan and the Lake Michigan watershed, the Milwaukee area transportation situation, and Milwaukee area jobs, specifically encouraging the trades. Another matter that I hope to get my hands on is the manner that State and local government agencies report their financial situation to the public.
I plan on being extremely busy as the next representative of the 19th district of the Wisconsin Assembly, whether I am in leadership or not. If I am offered leadership and this makes my job representing my district easier, of course I will take it.
Abraham Lincoln, the first president of my Wisconsin founded, abolitionist party. Though certainly not perfect, he stuck to his vision even with overwhelming reversals.
I am not able to think beyond 11/3/20. Even after I win there will be a flurry of work for the next two years on which I need to focus.
This is my own experience. Once again I stand astonished as some members of the media craft events right in front of me, often having no correlation with the reality there before us and they don't even have the ethics to apologize. I know that there is an answer to this conundrum out there.
