As we approach the November 4, 2025 election, I am humbly asking for your support and your vote for School Board.

I have dedicated my life to education, leadership, and service. I hold a Doctorate in Biblical Studies as well as Master’s degrees in Criminal Psychology and Educational Leadership. Over the past 12 years in education, I have served as a classroom teacher at Alvis Elementary and Clayton High School, and as a Principal at the Junior High level. These experiences have given me first-hand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities our schools face every day.

Beyond the classroom, I have invested deeply in our students’ growth and development. As a volunteer coach, I had the honor of helping lead our Girls Basketball Team to a State Championship alongside Coach Sanchez. Together, we worked to build a positive and disciplined environment where young women could grow in confidence, teamwork, and leadership—skills that will serve them far beyond the basketball court.

My career in the United States Military, where I served for 30 years and retired as a Deputy Division Chaplain, entrusted me with the responsibility of caring for over 10,000 Soldiers and their families.
  • • Strengthening academic excellence through evidence-based curriculum and innovative teaching strategies.

    • Supporting our teachers with the tools and professional development they need to succeed. • Ensuring safe, inclusive, and welcoming environments for every child.

    • Partnering with families and the community to prepare our students for success in college, careers, and life.
  • I have skin in the game—as an educator, a coach, a principal, a military leader, and a neighbor who cares deeply about the future of our children. On November 4, 2025, I ask for your vote and your trust. Together, we can build a school system that inspires excellence, opportunity, and pride for generations to come.

High expectations push students to reach their potential. Schools must ensure that curriculum standards are rigorous, relevant, and aligned with real-world applications. Instead of teaching only for standardized tests, educators should encourage deeper learning—fostering curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity. This approach equips students with transferable skills that last beyond graduation.

Teachers are at the heart of education, yet they are often overworked and under-supported. Investing in professional development, mentoring programs, and fair compensation ensures that great teachers remain in the classroom. Administrators should create environments where teachers feel valued and empowered, rather than burdened by excessive bureaucracy.
A culture of accountability helps maintain a positive learning environment. When schools enforce consistent discipline, students learn responsibility, respect, and the consequences of their actions. This is not about punishment—it is about teaching life lessons that prepare students to become responsible citizens. Stronger support for principals and staff in maintaining order is essential to improving outcomes.

Education is not confined to the classroom. Athletics, arts, and extracurricular activities give students the opportunity to build leadership, teamwork, and perseverance. Supporting these programs alongside academics ensures that education develops the “whole student”—mind, body, and character.
Parents and communities are vital partners in education. Schools should actively communicate with families, welcome volunteers, and build partnerships with local businesses and organizations. When families feel connected, students are more motivated, and schools gain additional resources to enrich learning.
Modern technology offers powerful tools for teaching and learning, but it must be used strategically. Digital platforms can individualize instruction, allowing students to progress at their own pace, while also providing teachers with data to identify learning gaps. However, schools must balance screen time with traditional methods to ensure critical thinking and human interaction remain central.
Improving education requires more than a quick fix; it is a shared responsibility that involves educators, families, and communities working together. By raising academic standards, supporting teachers, restoring discipline, balancing academics with extracurriculars, engaging families, and using technology effectively, schools can better prepare students for the challenges of tomorrow. Education must not only teach facts but also build character, resilience, and a vision for the future.
