What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
Growing Our Economy As job creator in the private sector, Henry believes in free enterprise and letting people have the opportunity to work to pursue their version of the American Dream. Through limited government, lower taxes, and controlled government spending, we can continue to grow our economy in District 14 and throughout Jacksonville. Public Safety is Priority Number One Neighbors from across our community deserve to feel at ease. Henry is dedicated to keeping our families and our neighborhoods safe by partnering with the JSO and community leaders. Homegrown Family Values Henry holds great pride in our community and is ready to make the tough decisions necessary to make Jacksonville the next great American city. Henry is optimistic for our future and is ready to get the job done.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
City Council deserves experienced, proven leadership that is going to get the job done. Henry Mooneyhan is standing for our community because he was born and raised right here in Jacksonville. Henry has spent his life here, graduating from Andrew Jackson High School and studying Transportation and Logistics at Florida State College. He is uniquely qualified to represent our community – his community – on the City Council.
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
Life came to Henry quickly as he became the Vice President of Gator Freightways Inc. at only 29 years old. Thanks in part to a community that gave him so much, Henry’s career was able to blossom and thrive. For the past 50 years, Henry has worked his way in the transportation industry from a part time employee to senior management. During his career, Henry became the President of one and Vice President of two trucking companies. In each of these positions, Henry oversaw thousands of employees.
