Herbert Christenberry
Herbert William Christenberry (1897-1975) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
Christenberry was nominated by President Harry Truman on July 11, 1947, to a seat vacated by Adrian J. Caillouet; he was confirmed by the Senate on December 18, 1947, and received commission on December 20, 1947. From 1949 to 1967, he served as the chief judge. He served the Eastern District of Louisiana until his death on October 5, 1975.[1] Christenberry was succeeded in this position by Charles Schwartz.
