A High Prairie Fire District # 14 Tax Levy Renewal proposition was approved on the February 12, 2013 election ballot in Klickitat County, which is in Washington.
This proposition authorized the High Prairie Fire District to restore its regular property tax levy at 0.65 mill ($0.65 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for a continued period of time in order to maintain and improve protection and emergency services.[1]

Language on the ballot:
“ | The Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 2012-02 concerning a proposition to maintain and fund operations, facilities and staffing.
This proposition authorizes the District to restore its regular property tax levy at $.65 per $1,000 of assessed value to be assessed in 2013 and collected in 2014. The funds will maintain and improve fire protection and emergency medical service levels. The maximum allowable levy in 2013 shall serve as the base for subsequent levy limitations as provided by chapter 84.55 RCW. |
