Hilary Benson Gangnes
Hilary Benson Gangnes is a former judge of the O`ahu First Circuit District Court of Hawaii. She was sworn in May 2002 and retired from the court in April 2020.[1][2]
Education
Gangnes earned a B.A. and a J.D. from the University of Puget Sound.[3]
Career
Prior to her appointment, Gangnes worked at Bronster Crabtree & Hoshibata. She had also served as a per diem judge for the First Circuit since 1997. Earlier in her career, she had worked as a law clerk for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, Civil Division, and to former Chief Justice Ronald Moon.[1]
In addition, Gangnes has been published in the Consumer Lawyers of Hawaii Law Reporter, the Maritime Law Journal, and Maritime Law Reporter.[1]
