Hjalmar Petersen
Hjalmar Petersen (January 2, 1890 – March 29, 1968) was the 23rd Governor of Minnesota from 1936 to 1937. A member of the Farmer-Labor Party, he served as lieutenant governor from January 1935 until taking over as governor on August 24, 1936 upon the death of Governor Floyd B. Olson.[1]
