Louisiana elections use the majority-vote system. All candidates compete in the same primary, and a candidate can win the election outright by receiving more than 50 percent of the vote. If no candidate does, the top two vote recipients from the primary advance to the general election, regardless of their partisan affiliation.

I am Hollis "Bubbe" Day, your conservative to the core candidate for State Representative in District 66, and I'm eager to serve the great people of our community. With deep roots in Louisiana, I've been a proud resident here for decades. Just like you, I call this place home.

My educational journey led me to Louisiana Tech University, where I earned a degree in business administration back in 1999. In my early years, I had the privilege of working in various roles, including coaching high school football and baseball, serving as a nursing home administrator, and working as a pharmaceutical sales representative. These experiences have provided me with a unique perspective on our community's needs and aspirations.

For the past several years, I've been your trusted voice on AM 1150 WJBO radio, where I've dedicated myself to sharing a commonsense approach to securing our financial future. Protecting your hard-earned money from the volatility of Wall Street and ensuring a clear exit strategy is the essence of my financial expertise.

But beyond my professional life, I'm a family man at heart. I'm the proud father of four wonderful children. Raising them in a loving conservative Christian household has been my privilege and joy. Our values, our faith, and our commitment to family are what drive me to make a positive impact in our community and beyond.
My journey has taken me through different phases of life, but one thing has remained constant: my passion for our great state and the values we hold dear. As a conservative, I firmly believe in limited government, individualism, and freedom. I've been an outspoken advocate against government overreach and mandates, especially during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Protecting the unborn is not just a policy stance for me; it's a deeply held conviction. I've actively participated in pro-life rallies and donated to support this critical cause. I believe that every life is precious and deserving of protection.

I'm also a strong advocate for school choice because I believe parents should have the freedom to choose the best education for their children. Woke indoctrination in our schools threatens our values, and I'm committed to expanding parental rights in education.

Our oil and gas industry is essential for our state's prosperity, and I'm a supporter of revitalizing and protecting this vital sector. Additionally, I firmly support Constitutional Carry, the right of law-abiding citizens to defend themselves.

I've been on the front lines, fighting for conservative values, and I'm not about to stop. I'm dedicated to the fight for freedom for our beloved Louisiana.
