- It is time for California to have, a Home for every person, a Job for every household, Food for every table, Care for every child, & a Path for everyone to become a positive, contributing, educated member of our communities.
- “Our collective wealth is found within the health and happiness of each one of us, and within our individual health and happiness is found our collective wealth.”
- OUR CULTURE CANNOT BE DICTATED BY CORPORATIONS AND THE INTERESTS OF GENERATING PROFITS. It is time to have clear separation between: The Economic Sphere The Political Sphere The Cultural/Personal Sphere
The “State of Emergency” California finds itself in is a direct result of our lack of leadership at the top most levels of our state’s governance. The role of governor cannot be one of monarchy or dictatorship, but that of noble service for the people’s voice, values and vision. Confirming the recall is essential to allow greater light into our state’s “dark-night.” The Soul of California has been lost to corporate greed and predatory power-structures, but we can reclaim our spirit and re-emerge stronger and wiser for the journey we have been on together! I truly feel that I am the best candidate for the position of Governor of the State of California. I am not another cookie-cutter politician. I am an honest, intelligent, dynamic person, willing to serve. I hold Mastery in Public Administration, Leadership, Business Development, Team-Building, Health, Education and Community Engagement. It is time for our state, and our nation, to move away from the patriarchy paradigm of top-down policy and find a balanced perspective in governance. As a woman who understands public service and management, and who honors the masculine and blended perspectives, I bring the fresh “balance within power” we have been waiting for in the Golden State of California! If we are honest, we all know it is time to elect more women and people of diverse ethnic backgrounds to the power structures in the political sphere. But it is equally important to elect people that are not career politicians. It is time to elect someone outside the “system” without years in it… who is qualified to lead (and has in fact taught leadership and organizational development to state employees, including executives. I am this candidate! Perhaps you will choose me to be your candidate!
It is easy to want to give up our human capacities in exchange for technology that promises to defy the gravities of our human, physical natures in exchange for a world lived in the mind-alone through Artificial Intelligence. There are power-structures at this time in business and in government (both local and global) that are currently influencing state law and emerging policy to push our world into a “Virtual” reality. I am not ready to give up on humanity, or on our planet Earth. I see that Ai can be used wisely, but also with a look to what supports human life and livelihood. No human is replaceable. All humans are essential. To push humans out of work, for greater leisure ? or space exploration at a time when we do not have our Earth’s wellbeing in-motion. No. I do not support this. I will call a halt to all Ai programs that threaten human life and livelihood in exchange for profits. When I am Governor, all Ai programs will begin going under intense review! There is something else beyond sport & leisure that excess money and time brings which wants to be experienced by human beings - and it is meaning. We want to find value in what we do and why we do it. To add value to life brings us joy and happiness. The obstacles we face and the problems we must solve provide us the context to discover what we have inside, what our strengths are and how we can work together to bring about positive change for all of life. I believe there is a way to embrace innovation and at the same time build from a place where our hearts are connected to our minds, so that we achieve an ensouled balance with new technologies. As my legacy, I see working with Ai for inherently soulful and positive goals as a way to bring balance between biological and mechanical intelligence. For me, what would feel like success is for us to look at human life, and the diverse and beautiful life on our planet, as more valuable than any abstract accumulation.
I grew up for a time on welfare as a child. I lived in cockroach infested ghetto apartments and experienced hunger. As a single mother, I also have, at times, supplemented my adult income with food stamps/EBT. I understand what it feels like to have hopelessness and be seeking inspiration for a way to a better life. I know what it takes to get off of government subsidies and into creative, empowered work. It is not shame or being “thrown away,” it is encouragement, praise, assistance and most importantly - not judging people for their circumstances. Participatory governance begins by listening to all the voices that need to be heard, to all the hurt that must be healed, to all the wounds that need repair and to all the ugly that has gone unseen for fall too long in ourselves, and in our society. If we say people matter but do not really give them what they need to feel like they, or those they love and are responsible to and for, will be OK, then we have not lifted people up or supported them, we have used them once again… for something that takes away from their basic dignity and grace. It is time, in California, to stop talking about who should receive support and care, and simply ensure that all people have homes, all people have food, all people have inspiring ways to contribute and feel apart of the group in ways that bring joy, and a sense of true value. Nothing less, will do. This is a moment in time when we can build a Flourishing Future for California and for the Earth. I will lead the way to prosperity and peace for all people, and especially people who have been oppressed for generations - without bringing shame or lack of opportunity for those that are doing well. I will bring forth policies that increase equity and equality, beginning with a basic income for all people who are citizens residing in the state. I will seek to support immigrants as well, and to protect immigrant families!
