Holly Huezo
Holly Huezo is a former member of the Nashville Metro Council in Tennessee, representing District 13. She was elected in the runoff election on September 10, 2015. She did not seek re-election in 2019.
Biography
Huezo was born in Nashville, Tenn. Her professional experience includes working as the human resource manager for Transfare Inc. at the Nashville International Airport, a translator and interpreter for the Department of Human Services, telephone interpreter for the Metro Nashville Police Department and tutor for Inner City Youth Encouragement Services.[1]
Elections
2015
The city of Nashville, Tennessee, held nonpartisan elections for mayor and metro council on August 6, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was May 21, 2015. All 41 metro council seats—including the office of vice mayor—were up for election. In District 13, Mark Cole and Holly Huezo advanced to the runoff election, defeating Furtesha Carter.[2] Huezo defeated Cole in the runoff election.[3] Incumbent Josh Stites announced his intentions not to seek re-election in February 2015.[4]
