Ballotpedia also asked the candidate a series of optional questions. Honor Anderson answered the following:

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

I look up to my late grandfather. He was passionate about education and committed his life to making education a better place for all. I would love to follow in his career footsteps.[3]
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Fighting for what is right and seeing it to the end.[3]
What legacy would you like to leave?
I would like for my legacy to be that I initiated a change for the better that had a snowball effect.[3]
What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?
In 1986, the Challenger space shuttle exploded carrying a school teacher. I was in the 3rd grade and remember watching the liftoff and explosion in our gym. I was devastated.[3]
What is your favorite thing in your home or apartment? Why?
My favorite thing in my home is my kitchen. It is where my family and friends gather and have genuine fellowship.[3]
What issues get in the way of quality education? How would you address these obstacles?
The main issue of a quality of education is poverty. Encouraging students to break the cycle and making exceptions for those students to meet graduation requirements is necessary.[3]
