Hope Whitehead
Hope Whitehead (b. January 30, 1959) is a former Democratic member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 57 from 2010 to 2011.
Whitehead was elected in a special election held February 2, 2010 to replace Talibdin El-Amin, who resigned after admitting to accepting a bribe.[1]
Whitehead is Owner/Attorney with Whitehead and Associates, Limited Liability Company. She has previously served as Director of the Division of Liquor Control, Associate Administrative Law Judge in the Division of Workers' Compensation, and Prosecutor in the Saint Louis City Circuit Attorney's Office. She earned her J.D. from the Washington University School of Law.
Whitehead is a member of the Missouri Lawyers Trust Foundation, Interdisciplinary Environmental Clinic Affairs Washington University School of Law Community Advisory Board, and the Wayman African Methodist Episcopal Church.[2]

2012
Whitehead ran in the 2012 election for Missouri House of Representatives, District 84. Whitehead was defeated by incumbent Karla May in the August 7 primary election.[3]

2010
Whitehead lost to Karla May in the Democratic primary on August 3 by a margin of 1,380-1,342. Whitehead filed a lawsuit on August 24 challenging the results. No other candidate has filed for the site, thus the winner of the primary is essentially guaranteed election in November.
