Howard Maetani

Howard Maetani was a Utah Fourth Judicial District judge for Utah County Utah for the Spanish Fork District Court and the American Fork District Court.[1] Judge Maetani was first appointed to this position in 1995[2] and retired on January 1, 2010.[3]

Education

Maetani received his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1976. He was a Court Commissioner for the Fourth, Fifth, and Seventh District Courts from 1986 to 1988. He then served as Court Commissioner for just the Fourth District Court from 1988 to 1994. Before being appointed as a judge, he worked as a judge pro tem in the Fourth District Court. Maetani was appointed to the Fourth District Court by Governor Michael O. Leavitt in 1995. He has served in that position since.[2]
