Howard Switzer
Howard Switzer was a 2012 Green candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 7th Congressional District of Tennessee.[1]
Biography
Switzer is President of Ecoville Architects. He previously worked as an Associate with William Mams Architecture from 1985-1990, an Associate with Bayer and Associates Architects from 1983-1985, and a member of The Farm Spiritual Community from 1973-1983.[2]
Switzer was also the 2010 Green Party candidate for Governor of Tennessee. He previously ran for Governor in 2006 and was Co-Chair/National Committee Delegate of the Green Party from 2000-2009.
Elections
2012
Switzer was defeated by incumbent Marsha Blackburn.[3] Switzer ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Tennessee's 1st District. Switzer faced Credo Amouzouvik (D), Marsha Blackburn (R), William Akin (I), Jack Arnold (I) and Lenny Ladner (I) on November 6, 2012.[1]

Switzer faced Bill Haslam (R), Mike McWherter (D) and 13 independent candidates in the general election on November 2, 2010. Haslam won the election.[4]
