Howard Turrentine
Howard Boyd Turrentine was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. He was nominated by President Nixon in 1970. Turrentine assumed senior status on January 22, 1984. He passed away on August 20, 2010.

Judicial nominations and appointments
Southern District of California
Turrentine was nominated to the United States District Court for the Southern District of California by Richard Nixon on February 19, 1970, to a seat vacated by Fred Kunzel. He was confirmed by the Senate on April 23, 1970, and received his commission on April 24, 1970. Turrentine served as chief judge of the court from 1982-1984. He assumed senior status on January 22, 1984.[1] Turrentine was succeeded in this position by Rudi Brewster.
