Howell and Wilkins confirmed to federal court in the District of Columbia

Washington, D.C.: Beryl A. Howell and Robert Leon Wilkins were confirmed by the U.S. Senate on December 22nd to serve on the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
Howell, a former member of the U.S. Sentencing Commission was first nominated to the District Court on July 14, 2010. She has had experience as the Executive Managing Director and General Counsel of Stroz Friedberg LLC, as a staff member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York.
Wilson, a partner of the Venable law firm in Washington, D.C., was nominated on May 20, 2010. He has worked as a law clerk and, from 1996 to 2008, as an attorney with the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia.[1][2][3]
