Three Howland Township Police & Fire Levy question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Trumbull County, which is in Ohio, where they were approved.
The first' question authorized the Township of Howland to impose a property tax levy of 0.75 mills ($0.75 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for a continuing period of time in order to fund police protection services in the Township. This tax is a replacement of a portion of two previous levies and decreases the prior combined rate of these two levies by 0.25 mills.
The second' question authorized the Township of Howland to impose a property tax levy of 1.75 mills ($1.75 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for a continuing period of time in order to fund fire protection services in the Township. This tax is a replacement of a portion of two previous levies and decreases the prior combined rate of these two levies by 0.25 mills.
The third question authorized the Township of Howland to impose a replacement property tax levy of 1 mill ($1 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for a continuing period of time in order to fund the police protection services of the Township.[1]
