Hulane Evans George was a judge of the Ocmulgee Circuit of Georgia.[1] She was first appointed by Governor Zell Miller in 1994, and was re-elected most recently in 2012.[2] George retired on December 31, 2014.[3]

Education

George received her B.A. from the University of Georgia and her J.D. from Mercer University.[4]

Career

George was a teacher prior to entering the practice of law. She spent a year at Georgia Legal Services, and then entered a private practice for 14 years until her appointment in 1994 to the Ocmulgee Circuit.[2]

2012 election

George ran unopposed for re-election to the Ocmulgee Superior Court.[5] She was re-elected after receiving 99.8% of the vote in the July 31 election.[6]
