A City of Huntington Beach Utility Users Tax, Measure P was on the November 2, 2010 ballot for voters in the City of Huntington Beach in Orange County. It was approved.
Measure P was proposed to raised more revenue for the City of Huntington Beach. It was designed to do this by expanding the type of services that the city's existing utility tax applied to. The tax, after Measure P, was applied to telephone and video services regardless of the specific type of technology or method of billing. At the same time, the tax rate was reduced from 5% to 4.9%.
