Weckerle for the two seats with four-year terms. Two incumbents, I. Susan Kattula and Elaine G. Martin, competed with Laura Hawatmeh and Andrew Laux for the two seats with six-year terms. White, Weckerle, Kattula and Martin campaigned together as an unofficial slate.[2]
Incumbent Brian White and Kaitlyn Schwab defeated Timothy Schwartz and Carl B. Weckerle for two seats with four-year terms, while incumbents I. Susan Kattula and Elaine G. Martin defeated challengers Laura Hawatmeh and Andrew Laux for two seats with six-year terms.

Funding
Kattula reported $6,926.00 in contributions and $4,209.71 in expenditures during the election, which left her with $2,774.74 on hand according to the Macomb County Election Department.[3]

Kattula received endorsements from the local chapters of the Michigan Education Association and the UAW.[4][5]
