I am not a politician… just a person who from the age of 20 got educated while working full-time in the court system; became a Municipal Court Judge and now am a candidate for the Justice of the Peace, Precinct 7. I am someone who is passionate about Justice and Fairness; someone who knows what the Justice of the Peace position entails and who wants to do the job.
- Experience: I am the only candidate with experience from both sides of the bench. Off-the-bench: I retired after 24 years of service as an Administrative Office Manager at this Justice of the Peace court, the very one I am now a candidate for. I know what is required from the time a case is filed to the time the case gets set for trial. On-the-bench: I have had the honor of serving as Municipal Court Judge for the Town of Anthony, Texas for 14 years. The experience I bring is valuable because the case filings for the Justice of the Peace court are high; the experience I bring from both sides of the bench helps the court run efficiently.
- Availability: The case filings for the Justice of the Peace, Precinct 7 court are high, therefore the judge at this court has to be available every day. This court cannot function correctly or efficiently with a judge that is not available full-time. I am the only candidate that is available to do the job on a full-time basis.
- Proven Judicial Demeanor: With me, you know what you are getting. Actions speak louder than words. As a Municipal Court Judge for 14 years, I have shown the ability to be fair and respectful while upholding the laws of the State of Texas. As a judge, all I can promise is that I will continue to be respectful and follow the law.
Fairness and respect while upholding the laws of the State of Texas is all a judge can promise.
