The Idaho Ballot Access Restrictions Advisory Vote, also known as House Bill 644, was on the November 3, 1998 ballot in Idaho as an advisory question, where it was approved. The measure authorized ballot access restrictions to continue for other elected officials despite being inapplicable to members of congress.[1]

The question appeared on the ballot as:[2]

Advisory question promulgated by the Idaho Legislature stating that the United States Supreme Court has invalidated ballot access restrictions as they apply to members of Congress; asking whether ballot access restrictions should remain in place for state elected officials, state legislators, county elected officials, city elected officials and school district trustees despite the fact that the same ballot access restrictions cannot apply to members of Congress.[3]
