The Idaho Governor and Lt. Governor Political Party Amendment, also known as House Joint Resolution 52, was on the November 7, 1972 ballot in Idaho as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have required the Governor and Lieutenant Governor to belong to the same political party .[1][2]
