I am a husband, a father, and a concerned citizen who served on the Aurora Citizen's Advisory Budget Committee as Vice-Chair for House District 36 for the Democratic Party and the Arapahoe County Cultural Council. I am an attorney licensed in Colorado and the District of Columbia, as well as the US District Court for Colorado, the US Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit, and the US Court of Federal Claims. I worked in federal, state, and local procurement, as well as small business consulting, development, and bid protests.
  • ECONOMIC RECOVERY - We have an economy that does not work for everyone and many are one event away from financial ruin. Consumers are feeling unprecedented stress at the grocery store, the gas station, and in mortgage/rent. Interest rates are high and our homeless populations has increased significantly. Practical experience is required to get us back on track. I have worked closely with the US Small Business Administration to assist clients in receiving their SBA 8(a) Certification which opens the door to lucrative government contracts. I have achieved Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Status (DBE), Woman-Owned Small Business Certification (WOSB), and Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE). I intend to bring jobs back to Colorado.
  • AID TO EDUCATION - Our teachers are trustees for our greatest assets; our children. And yet, our teachers are not free simply to teach, but they are asked to play the role of counselor, probation officer, resource office, psychologist, referee, and more. In spite of these titles, their salaries are not reflected for the additional responsibilities. We have a teacher shortage because of the overall low wages and the increased responsibilities. We must pay our teachers appropriately and we must ensure that our children have access to all technological advances to compete in an ever-changing global economy.
  • AFFORDABLE HOUSING - The costs of housing has skyrocketed in Colorado and many of our neighbors are relocating to other states because the dream of homeownership has disappeared. A home is a sure way to create generational wealth and we must seek ways to address this crisis including building more townhomes and condominiums.
I am passionate about creating a brighter future for generations to come. This means strengthening the middle class, criminal justice reform, and accessibility to college.
Honesty, integrity, and competence are most important characteristics for an elected official.
To clearly understand their fiduciary duty and to proceed with full knowledge of their duty of loyalty, fair dealing and good faith.
No. State legislators should have previous experience in a field outside of government to understand the problems of everyday constituents.
Judiciary, Small Business
Elected officials are fiduciaries to the people who elect them. Therefore, barring a national security conflict, financial transparency is a must. Further, the government must be held accountable for its actions and not every official stands for elections, but there must be minimal standards by which government employees must comply.

I am a husband and proud father of 2. I am deeply concerned about their future and the world that they will inherit. As an attorney, I want to ensure that the government performs its role effectively and within the framework of constitutional principles.

Public service is a noble calling but one should not spend an entire lifetime in elected office. As George Washington answered the call to serve, he eventually retired to pursue other goals.

I would like to see more of this type of example in our politics. When individuals have been in office for decades and no one can recall a signature bill or measure that such a person has come up with - then it is time to re-examine that person's effectiveness. I would like to accomplish a few things and know that I made a difference.

First, I would like to empower small businesses and seek greater opportunities for investment and growth.

Second, I would like to address an ongoing nightmare regarding traffic and transportation.

Third, and finally, I would like to restore a properly functioning government- a government that accomplished the agenda in the best interests of the electorate. This is not an unreasonable request.

It is clear that government is not properly functioning and will remain its malfunction until taxpayers decide to stand as one and demand that the games and the nonsense ends. I hope to be such a candidate and this is why I am running.
  • I am dedicated to economic recovery and small business development.
  • The government should function properly.
  • The crisis in traffic and transportation must effectively resolved.
I am passionate about the economy and issues of trade and commerce.

At the writing of this narrative, the COVID pandemic has caused substantial disruption to our county. More than 180K Americans have died and many business have closed permanently. Other workers are forced into unpaid furlough days. This is not sustainable.

I am committed to economic recovery and this is a big reason why I am seeking the position of County Commissioner.
An understanding of sound economic principles and private sector experience.
I believe it is essential that a candidate for this office have business experience. Otherwise you will have the same unsatisfactory results
