What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
1. Reduce the City's tax rate to provide some tax relief for the large increase in Assessed Value of our properties 2. Maintain Fire and Police protection at the highest level 3. Continue to fix our infrastructure and keep our neighborhoods strong
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Protecting the viability of our varied neighborhoods and emphasizing the quality of life in those neighborhoods and listening to all who live in the district.
Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?
I worked with former Mayor Cluck MD as a physician delivering babies at Arlington Memorial Hospital. He showed that service to others is not limited by your chosen profession and Service is what we are called to do.
Is there a book, essay, film, or something else you would recommend to someone who wants to understand your political philosophy?

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
The same characteristics found in the Boy Scouts law. Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, Reverent.
What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?
The above characteristics, with the experience of having helped lead, medical groups, a Community Hospital and a large Health Care System
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
To Serve the citizens to the best of my ability.

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?
The day my father came home from overseas service. Age 4
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
Lifeguard, Casino Beach, Fort Worth, Texas. First Summer job out of high school. Then Six Flags Over Texas the next 4 years
What happened on your most awkward date?
Went to a high school dance. Very nervous

Knowing how to build consensus and politeness and respect for all

One really does get to know the people that they represent
