Illinois Abolish Comptroller Amendment did not appear on the November 2, 2010 ballot in Illinois as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. The proposed measure called for abolishing the state comptroller's office. The proposal, also known as SJRCA 102, was sponsored by Sen. Kwame Raoul[1]
Background
The Illinois Comptroller's main duties include maintaining the state's central fiscal accounts, ordering payments into the treasury, and issuing warrants against any funds held by the treasurer.
