The Illinois County Officers Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the 1880 ballot in Illinois as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed modifications regarding county officers. The text of the modified amendment can be found in Article X, Section 8 of the constitution of 1870.[1]
