Illinois Double Liability Banking Amendment (1952)

The Illinois Double Liability Banking Amendment, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Illinois on November 4, 1952, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed that individual stockholders of banking institutions should not be personally liable to the creditors of the corporation.[1]
