The Illinois Property Tax Exemption for Veterans' Organizations, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Illinois on November 7, 1978, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. It proposed to exempt veterans' associations from paying property taxes on their meeting halls.[1]
