Independence City Parks & Stormwater Sales Tax Renewals, 2 (August 2010)
Two Independence City Sales Tax Renewal measures were on the August 3, 2010 ballot in the city of Independence which is in Jackson County.
This measure was approved

- NO 5,577[1]
The Park sales tax measure will implement an eighth-cent tax which would go towards park and trail development. The tax is estimated to generate around $1.75 million a year.
The Stormwater measure will implement a quarter cent sales tax to help with stormwater control in the city, the tax is estimated to be able to generate $3.5 million a year.[2]
