The Indiana County Sheriff Term Limits, Amendment 2, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Indiana on November 7, 1978, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The amendment proposed that the state constitution be amended to permit a person to serve as county sheriff for more than two consecutive terms.[1]
