Indiana committee to study decriminalization of marijuana

Indiana: Today the Criminal Law and Sentencing Policy Study Committee will meet to consider the effects of decriminalizing marijuana in the state. Currently, the possession of any amount of the drug is a crime. Legislators and criminal justice officials will explore three aspects of the state's policy toward the drug: decriminalizing medical marijuana, legalizing small amounts for recreational use, and taxing the sale of it.[1]
At this point, 16 state have legalized marijuana for medicinal purposes and 14 states have decriminalized it.[1]
