Iowa Effective Date of Laws, Amendment 1 (1966)

The Iowa Effective Date of Laws Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Iowa on November 8, 1966, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The measure replaced the word "fourth" with the word "first" in Section 26 of Article III of the constitution, in relation to the effective date of laws passed by the legislature.[1][2][3][4]
