The Iowa Legislative Apportionment Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Iowa on December 3, 1963, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The measure would have created a general assembly composed of 58 senators and 99 representatives.[1]
