The Iowa Legislator Qualifications Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Iowa on November 2, 1926, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The measure removed the word male from Section 4 of Article III of the Iowa Constitution, relating to legislator qualifications.[1][2][3]
