The Iowa Lottery Prohibition Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the ballot in Iowa on November 7, 1972, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The measure repealed the prohibition against lotteries and the sale of lottery tickets.[1][2]
