The Iowa Repeal of State Census Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Iowa on November 3, 1936, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The measure repealed the section of the Iowa Constitution, which required the taking of a state census, thereby abolishing the state census.[1][2][3]
