Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Matt Robinson (D)

I am forever grateful for my well rounded public education I received. I will work to ensure that all students are granted the same opportunity. That means fully funding our education system, accounting for increasing in inflation, increased pay and incentives to retain our teachers, and ensuring our public dollars are funding public schools. Our children are the foundation of our future, we must prioritize their education.

There's no doubt we are facing a worker shortage in our state, I see the front of this issue working in the construction industry. Our current legislators is not working to fix these problems, and often further the burden of the workers to the benefit of big business. I will support good paying, safe jobs, and restore collective bargaining rights. I will support raising the minimum wage because workers deserve dignity in their work. I will be a friend of labor and a champion of working Iowans.

Our rural communities have so much to offer this state, they are the backbone of Iowa. Which is why I will promote the revitalization of the small town across the district. Keeping our schools open and thriving, funding for accessible rural healthcare, and promoting small business are a few ways I look to help our communities to grow. Around here our economy runs on Main Street not Wall Street and I will work hand in hand with you to help Main Street thrive.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Matt Robinson (D)

Public education, work force, and rural communities are the backbone of our state. These issues must be addressed in the upcoming legislation session if we want to ensure Iowa has a bright future. Mental health services must have the funding on both the children and adult system to ensure we have enough staff and beds for those who need the services. Iowa must have a tax system that matches the current state of the economy. The newly implement flax tax will drain Iowa's surplus and burden the average Iowan.

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

Matt Robinson (D)

I live and work like the people in my district. I feel the impact of legislation coming from Des Moines like everyone else. I am committed to ensuring that legislation matches the needs and wants of the district. To do this, I will return to the district and make myself available to constituents. The current office holder makes herself unavailable to those within her community. That is a reason why I am running. I am commitment to returning the Senator's office to an office of public service, working for the people and not self-interest, party interest, or special interest.
