Ira De Ment

Ira De Ment was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama. He passed away in July 2011 after serving as a senior judge since 2002.[1]

De Ment was nominated by President George H.W. Bush on November 14, 1991, to a seat vacated by Truman Hobbs; he was confirmed by the Senate on March 13, 1992, and received commission on March 18. He assumed senior status on April 15, 2002. De Ment was succeeded in this position by Mark Fuller.
