My name is Iris Rhiannon Aurora Boswell and I am running for Colorado’s First District seat in the United States House of Representatives. I am running because I am frustrated by what is happening in this country. Bigotry and white supremacist values are seeping into the mainstream culture. Individual rights are being stifled in different ways by both the dominant parties. Neither party has any interest in helping the unhoused, the poor, people of color, or the disabled. Politicians almost invariably cater first to corporate interests. Our environment is on fire, yet corporate oil continues to receive massive federal subsidies. Women’s and LGBTQIA+ rights are under attack in more states than not and as a trans woman, this hits particularly close to home. It’s honestly hard to focus on a small enough number of issues to feel a coherent sense of rage. Things are so bad, that it’s hard even to know where to start.
  • Reject the court, take back the country!
  • Build housing for the unhoused!
  • Legalize drugs, decriminalize sex work!
Here are a few of my priorities:

Reform the supreme court
Codify abortion rights
Enshrine LGBTQIA+ equality in law
Legalize drug use
Decriminalize sex work
Establish a federal program to house the unhoused without restriction
Stop selling or giving weapons to other countries
Reduce our military and military spending
Create universal Medicaid and food stamps
Set term limits for House, Senate and Supreme court seats

Enact radical, immediate environmental action
