Isa Infante
Isa Infante was a Green Party candidate for Governor of Tennessee in the 2014 elections.[1] Isa Infante lost the general election on November 4, 2014.
Biography
Born in the Dominican Republic, Infante grew up in the Bronx and California.[2]
Infante earned her B.A. in politics/Latin American Studies at the University of California in Santa Cruz in 1973. She went on to earn her M.A. in political science at Yale University in 1975 and her Ph.D. in political science from the University of California at Riverside in 1977. She later earned her J.D. from the Northeastern University School of Law in Boston in 2006.[3]
Professionally, Infante has taught political science at the university level, held an academic deanship and worked for the U.S. Department of Education and at the White House. In addition, she has been a consultant to a wide range of legal, political, community and international development organizations and owned her own small businesses.[2]
Infante serves as the coordinating chair of the Green Party of Knox County.[2]

Infante ran for election to the office of Governor of Tennessee. Infante won the Green Party nomination in the unopposed primary on August 7. The general election took place on November 4, 2014.[1]
