- We need Christian conservatives to drain the swamp!
- As a Christian conservative, I know attacks will come my way but "We know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose." - Rom 8:28
- The same tired old politicians that got us here do not know how to return this country to the Land of the Free.
- Immigration & the border
- Term limits
- Election integrity
- Abortion
- 1st & 2nd Amendments
- Taxes
Rush Limbaugh - He told me it was ok to not care what others thought of me. I never have cared what others thought of me, with the exception of a select few people that are in an inner circle. Rush was the first to say it was a gift he wished everyone could have.
Jordan Peterson - The man uncovers wisdom in both the infantile fantasy & in the eternal truth. Great author & well worth listening to.
My dad - He is living a life worth following. He showed me how live, he also told me but more importantly he showed it. As I get older & have kids of my own now, I find myself in many ways turning into my dad. It's always a good day when I notice that.
- The Devil & Karl Marx by Kengor
- Ordinary Men by Browning
- Defying Hitler by Haffner
To understand what forms my political philosophy & appreciation for our country read these:
- Proverbs by Solomon (in the Bible)
- 1776 by McCullough
- The Shack by Young
"Whoever listens to 'wisdom' will dwell secure & will be at east, without dread of disaster." Prov 4:33
Integrity.
"Keep your conduct honorable so that when the speak against you as evildoers they may see your good deeds & glorify God" 1 Peter 2:12
Love.
- Strength
- Patriotism
I remember watching the 2nd plane hit & thinking "How is that possible? How could someone do that?" Looking back for me that's the moment when any lingering childhood innocence was lost. At that moment I realized that bad men would do bad things, even to themselves, to hurt others. It began in me a journey to harden myself so that I would be prepared to face a hard world. It had the opposite affect on me than what the terrorists wanted that day.
The job started out as a janitor but quickly transitioned into a maintenance & mechanical role. Working with my hands fixing things from plumbing fixtures, electrical equipment, locking mechanisms & all sorts of building components. I was blessed to work in beautiful high-end buildings with a tremendous ownership group. I don't miss the cold weather but I do miss the people.
Spiritual - The Shack by Young
This book changed the way I look at God. Probably the most influential book in my life to date.
Normal Christian Life by Nee is a close second in this category. It walks you through how to live as a Christian in such plain & simple terms. Great great book.
Historical - Ordinary Men by Browning
It answers the question "how did ordinary men become Nazis". Truly a fascinating look at what to avoid & what kind of character is needed to stand up for truth & goodness.
Educational - 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Covey
Just a great book crammed with insights & practical steps.
Relational - Strong Fathers Strong Daughters by Meeker
If you are a dad of a daughter you have to read this. The amount of influence & authority you have as a dad is incomprehensible. This book lays it all out for you.
Honorable mention goes out to His Needs Her Needs by Harley. Great book on marriage. I'd recommended it as requirement in pre-marriage counseling.
Financial - Entreleadership by Ramsey
Another great book packed with insights & real life lessons.
Bible - Proverbs & James
Cool gear, cool cars, bats follow his command & he has no fear of falling.
So the last song that got stuck is Waterways by Ludovico Einaudi
It's funny to think back now on how many things He lined up for us to be a family. Just one quick story about this.
The intended qualities were it was to be a group of us, We the People. We were supposed to be there debating what is best for the county. Farmers, mechanics, salesmen, developers, former servicemen etc etc. These people, the back bone of the country were intended to bring their unique perspective & experiences to the table.
Said differently who do you want making the rules you have to live by? A group of 400 attorneys or a group of 400 pilots, police officers, nurses, accountants & pastors?
We need fresh ideas.
We need patriots in office.
We need to get off the road we're on.
We need to forget how to get into 28 trillion dollars of debt.
The left is showing what they are, they are not liberals or leftist moderates, they are Marxists. They hate our Freedoms & our Creator who endows us with unalienable rights. We are being divided in every imaginable way, from race, gender, religion, wealth, by "science", vaccinations, heck the weather can even divide us now.
- Small Business
I propose an 8, 10, 12 & 20 policy.
8 years for the President
10 years for a House seat
12 years for a Senate seat
With a combined total of 20 years in any Federal elected office.
The founders thought, rightfully so, that elections were the term limits. They also set up a system of government that when working properly would be so ineffective & cumbersome that no one in their right mind would want to stick around longer than absolutely required. The purpose was to keep government from affecting & influencing the people.
One common story I've heard from many residents is a desire to get involved. They saw what happened in the last election & the aftermath, they decided that was the last straw & they're getting into the process to fix it! It's incredible how many patriots are willing to sacrifice their time, talent & treasure for the good of the country.
Sits down & realizes he is sitting next to AOC.
The 10pm news is on while they're talking a little bit. Then the news cuts to a man on a building ledge threatening to jump.
The businessman says "10 bucks he jumps". Righteously indignantly AOC says "How could say that? Gambling on a life!" Then she looks at the bartender & says "Could I borrow $10".
The news keeps rolling & unfortunately the man jumped.
The businessman says to AOC "Its ok, I can't take the bartender's money. The truth is I saw the news at 5pm & knew he would jump."
The word "compromise" is toxic in the conservative circles while simultaneously it is adored by the Marxists. That tells you all you need to know.

Smith's campaign website stated the following:

What We Stand For COVID-19 Healthcare is best decided by individuals & families with their doctors. It is not for the federal government to “tell you what you can & cannot do” as Biden said in March 2021. As the Bill of Rights states “The powers not delegated to the United State by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” I propose the Pandemic Act- Pandemic Act- In the event a pandemic or other transmissible disease is found to be present globally & within our sovereign borders, the rights & freedoms granted to us by our Creator & numerated in the Constitution shall not be infringed or restricted in any way. This is to include the freedoms to conduct business, to worship, to communicate about the disease, to protect ourselves, to treat, cure & medically fight the disease as free & independent citizens. It is the required that the government provide ALL findings & information related to the disease with in a 2 week period of time after having learned of, gathered, discovered or in any way become aware of details related to the disease so that the citizens may make our own informed & educated decisions on how to best proceed with our liberties & lives. Election Integrity For years we have discussed election irregularities and creating election integrity. Yet for years our elected officials have done nothing to secure our elections. Now the American people’s trust in elections is broken. Free and fair elections are vital to our country’s continued growth and success. I will fight to secure our elections and ensure the voice of the American people is heard. I propose the Election Integrity Act- Election Integrity Act- All federal elections will be conducted with voter picture ID standards proving citizenship. All federal elections will be on a separate paper ballot that can be traced & hand counted if needed. All forms of voting other than in person voting must be notarized & be accompanied by a copy of the voter’s picture ID. Immigration We are a nation of legal immigrants. What is happening at our southern border is a disgrace & shows the ineptitude of the Democrat’s ideology. Illegal immigration must be stopped for our country to survive. In addition, our legal immigration policy is too slow & complicated. The cultural melting pot that is the United States depends on our amazing immigrants. I propose the Border Act- Border Act- The length of the southern US border will have a significant & imposing border wall or more substantial barrier to restrict & reduce the illegal immigration crisis. All border crossings will be substantially guarded. Processing centers will be located on the southern side of the border wall or barrier. No NGO or other forms of well fair or non-profit organizations will have access to the immigrants until after they are cleared to enter by the relevant authorities & can be allowed into our sovereign country. Term Limits Our founding fathers intended for government office to be a sacrifice, not a career choice. It’s time for our elected officials to serve us, the people, and not their own self interests. I propose the Term Limits Act- Term Limits Act- Term limits will be passed as a constitutional amendment limiting the length an individual can serve in elected office. These limits will be: 8 years for the office of the president, 10 years for a congressional seat, 12 years for a senator & a total combined 20 year limit for any & all federal elected offices. Second Amendment “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep & bear arms, shall not be infringed.” – Bill of Rights. So called “common sense” or “military style” gun laws are in direct violation of our constitution; plain & simple. I propose the Gun Act- Gun Act- Congress shall pass a law prohibiting the infringement of taxation, on a Federal & state level, on the manufacturing, distribution, sale or any step in the process of delivering weapons, ammunition & other forms of arms to the citizens. First Amendment “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, & to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” This is simple, I will defend & support these freedoms. In the era of Covid this amendment has been all but erased, this is unacceptable. Our churches have a protected right to assemble & exercise their faith. Abortion As a country we have minimized the value of life. We cannot ask for God’s blessings & protection while we reject His most precious gift. For too long Republicans have stayed away from this “social” issue. We have a moral responsibility to protect life. I propose the Abortion Act- Abortion Act- Congress shall pass an amendment to our constitution prohibiting the act of abortion unless it is medically necessary for the well being of the mother or other child in the womb or in the unfortunate circumstance that rape has been committed. However, if rape becomes widely alleged, this can be measured by a predetermined increase in % of rape accusations, & rape used as an excuse for abortions then a second portion of the act becomes active. Where in, if rape is alleged & the allegation is found to be a false in a court of law by a jury the mother will be found guilty of murdering her aborted child. To help aid women who have unwanted pregnancies funds currently being used to aid in abortions can be redirected to aid in the processing & completion of adoptions. Taxes The current tax burden & filing process is unreasonable. Not to mention the taxes the Democrats are wanting to impose. Rather than increase taxes to pay for wasteful government spending we will fight to shrink big government. Putting more money back into the pockets of the American people will stimulate the economy and increase quality of life. We should reward success & raise the income in all American homes. I propose a simple flat rate tax plan, between 20%-15%. Remove the unnecessary & complicated tax code & the impending bureaucracy of the IRS. This will unleash our economy & free us, the American people, to pursue our dreams & happiness. I also propose the Budget Act- Budget Act- Congress shall pass an amendment requiring a balanced budget. This act will also remove the budgetary standard that has been known as base line budgeting to prevent out of control spending from reoccurring. Base line budgeting is the standard where today’s spending limit is tomorrow’s spending expectation, aka today’s ceiling is tomorrow’s floor. Energy & Environment Our world is precious, & we are charged with taking care of it. We have vast natural resources, both in terms of natural beauty & ecosystems & also in energy potential. We need to use science, not emotion to guide our decisions. I propose the Energy Act- Energy Act- Congress shall pass a law removing the executive branch’s authority over the production, distribution, discovery & delivery of energy in it various forms. The citizens & general market place are capable of handling this responsibility with very limited & restricted governmental supervision that is to be directed by Congress. This is to include & promote the use of nuclear power & the free flow of oil.[4] |
